While technically piercings are safe during pregnancy, it’s generally best to avoid any elective procedures. This is because any elective procedure can also come with risks, including a risk of infection, which may be more challenging to treat during pregnancy. Additionally, because pregnancy can lower the immune system, it may increase the potential for infection.
